As the entrepreneurial sector in Dayton continues to explode, future innovators are coming forward to take a shot at the market. And the region has a host of incubators and accelerators to welcome them.

This winter, local women have an opportunity to take their first steps into startup scene in Dayton at the area’s historic innovators hub.

Dayton non-profit accelerator Aviatra Accelerators focused on empowering women entrepreneurs is preparing to conduct its EXPLORE bootcamp just before the Christmas holidays.

The program, sponsored by First Financial Bank, is geared toward first-time female entrepreneurs who are exploring the feasibility of their business idea and seek to better understand building a business plan.

“EXPLORE helps women validate their business model and learn how to set up their business for success,” said Jill Morenz, CEO of Aviatra Accelerators.  “We understand that there’s self-doubt that comes with starting a business and EXPLORE® offers many ways to support women entrepreneurs to help them understand all the facets of running a business – like how to price correctly, understanding audiences and funding.”

With day one focusing heavily on business idea validation, value proposition and types of funding, day two will wrap up the specifics of topics like legal, insurance, target marketing, pricing and budgeting.

The boot camp will cost about $300 for participants. Click here to sign up on Aviratra’s Eventbrite page.
