PNC Bank has named Alexandria Abell as officer of minority business development for Dayton and other areas.
Her multi-state territory includes Ohio, Kentucky, southern Indiana and West Virginia.
Abell has been with PNC for nine years and most recently was a business banking relationship manager in West Louisville. She’s worked in the industry for 14 years.
She’ll support new, minority-owned businesses in diverse communities by preparing business owners for growth, development and sustainability.
PNC recently launched a Minority Business Development Group that aims to provide solutions and resources to advance the financial wellness of minority-owned businesses.
Abell completed a voluntary advocacy training program and became a PNC-certified minority-business advocate.
“As a Main Street bank, PNC leverages the power of our resources to help all move forward financially, including small businesses that represent the lifeblood of the communities we serve,” said Marshalynn Odneal, national sales executive for Minority Business. “With the formation of the Minority Business Development Group and the appointment of Alexandria and Minority Business Development officers throughout PNC’s national footprint, we are furthering our commitment to ensure equitable access to products and solutions that will help minority-owned businesses thrive.”
PNC Bank is the third-largest banking institution in the Dayton region with $3.56 billion in local deposits.
