The Dayton Business Journal has opened nominations for its annual Startups to Watch list.

The 2023 Startups to Watch list will be released in mid-January.

The annual list highlights local startups that are poised to make big moves in the next year, whether that's raising sizable funding rounds, acquiring other companies, accomplishing fast growth or simply continuing work on challenging problems.

The nomination deadline is Jan. 1, 2023.

Dayton Inno's goal is to highlight up-and-coming startups that have shown early signs of promise and the potential to make a big impact. We aim to feature startups across a broad variety of industries since the city's startup scene isn't dominated by one industry or vertical.

We are looking for bootstrapped businesses and companies who have raised a Series A round of funding or smaller and have been founded within the last three years.

To help us compile this year’s Startups to Watch list, we accept nominations from the community, and we reach out to local venture capitalists, founders, and other tech leaders to help shape the list. We also used information from our reporting throughout the year.
