Coworking spaces can start to look the same: open floor plans, a bunch of twenty-somethings with faces buried in laptops, and the obligatory endless coffeepot in the kitchen.

News of a new coworking space opening seems to pop up on news feeds almost every day, but one of the newcomers to the North Texas market is bringing something different. Her.HQ is a woman-owned, women-centric space set to open in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas next month.

Currently working out of 750 N St. Paul in Downtown in a partnership with Portland-based Centrl Office – Her.HQ is in a pop-up phase, which began about six months ago. In that time, according to co-founder and CEO Cassi Oesterling, the small office space has had more than 600 requests for space in the upcoming permanent space.

When the organization opens on Davis St. in Oak Cliff, Oesterling said the space would consist of a number of shared desks with about seven private offices, which will be available by the day or month. She said that while there are a number of women working in the legal industry, it will largely focus on the health and wellness industry.

In addition to space, Her.HQ will also offer talks, classes and workshops on a regular basis.

Their current space in the Saint Paul Place Building is a mix of welcoming comfort and modern workspace, and if it’s an indication of things to come, Her.HQ has potential of being a resource to many in the community. Anyway, you can see for yourself:
