Dallas-based Ventra Health has appointed Steven Huddleston as its new CEO, the company announced this week.
Huddleston will replace Mike O'Boyle following his retirement. O'Boyle will remain a part of the company as vice chairman.
"I am thrilled to join the leadership team of a unique business committed to partnering with hospital-based physician specialties to provide high-value services in an increasingly complicated reimbursement environment," Huddleston said in a news release. "Our continued focus will be success for our clients and empowering our colleagues to continually raise the bar on how we deliver exceptional service and superior performance results."
Prior to joining Ventra, Huddleston served as CEO and president of Plano-based Pelitas, which was acquired by Georgia-based FinThrive, formally nThrive, in 2022. He also spent time as president and chief client officer for nThrive. According to a news release, Huddleston served in leadership roles at Dallas-based Tenet, Nashville-based HCA, Parallon and Accenture.
"We are thrilled to welcome Steven as the new CEO. The challenges facing hospital-based physicians are significant, and Steven's background and experience will enable Ventra Health to fulfill its mission of enabling healthcare providers to thrive by solving their business challenges," O'Boyle said in a news release. "We could not ask for a more qualified executive to serve as CEO of Ventra Health in the next phase of growth and execution."
