Dallas-based COMSovereign Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: COMS) has appointed David Knight to CEO, president and director, the company announced today.
"The board is unanimous in support as he and the team work diligently to ensure we capitalize on the strength and value of our current offerings today and are positioned to realize the exciting new technologies and capabilities for tomorrow," COMSovereign's board of directors said in a prepared statement.
Knight was initially named interim CEO in September, following the departure of Dan Hodges. During his time as interim CEO, Knight shifted processes to refocus on streamlining operations, reducing costs, and developing its property portfolio and drone production.
"I wish to thank the board for their vote of confidence as we continue to address the challenges facing the company," Knight said in a news release. "We are committed to the execution of our plan designed to refocus the company and improve its ability to service customers and generate meaningful revenue."
COMSovereign is a developer of 4G LTE advanced and 5G communication systems. The company also features a portfolio of communications technology companies across the data transmission industry.
In Aug. 2020, COMSovereign agreed to acquire all of the equity interests of Skyline Technology Partners, LLC, dba Fastback Networks. The terms of the transaction included a total consideration of about $14 million.
