In a story of well-established former startups and acquisitions all backed by Fort Worth- and San Francisco-based TPG Capital, three companies are combining to form Digital.ai, a Plano-based integrated, intelligent value stream platform.

“Now more than ever, it is critical that organizations leverage the power of business agility to optimize processes and make decisions rooted in customer centricity. Doing so will result in higher quality, more secure products that are delivered faster and drive stronger customer and employee engagement,” said Ashok Reddy, Digital.ai CEO, in a prepared statement.

Digital.ai is the combination of California-based lifecycle management solutions company CollabNet VersionOne and Boston-based continuous delivery and DevOps software company XebiaLabs, which merged in January. The launch of the new company coincides with the new announcement of its acquisition of San Francisco-based Arxan Technologies, a management product application developer, from TA Associates.

Terms of the Arxan deal were not disclosed. However, Reddy, who took the helm at Digital.ai, when it was still in stealth, will remain as the company’s lead.

“Digital.ai is bringing together leaders in their fields – from agile business planning, to delivery, to application security – to create an integrated, end-to-end software platform that enables large enterprises to create, adapt and excel in today’s digital markets,” said Nehal Raj and Art Heidrich of TPG Capital in a combined statement.

Digital.ai seeks to leverage the combined technologies of the companies it is made up of. Its platform uses AI and machine learning data to provide enterprise-level companies with real-time business insights. The company hopes the software will increase efficiency and reduce costs for users, as well as deliver stronger customer and employee engagement. In a release, the company said the addition of Arxan will allow for application protection and real-time threat analytics.

Digital.ai said it will focus on a number of industries, such as finance, digital media, gaming and automotive, among others. Already, Digital.ai counts big names like Toyota, Siemens, KeyBank and KLM/Air France as its clients.

“In these challenging times, your digital presence is your business. Digital.ai enables enterprises to focus on business outcomes instead of outputs,” Reddy said in a prepared statement.
