Startups everywhere are looking for a leg up on the competition and mentors who can connect them to customers and funding. Capital Factory, an Austin-based accelerator and venture capital fund that opened a large coworking and accelerator space in Dallas in 2018, has become one of the state's go-to places for founders looking for that kind of boost.
This month, as with every month, Capital Factory has accepted 13 startups into its VIP Accelerator program, three of which are from North Texas. In exchange for stock worth 1% of the company and rights to invest in the next funding round, these startups get guidance and mentorship, along with access to the accelerators amenities and others working in the space.
Here’s the North Texas startups joining the three-month program.

It helps businesses lower costs and risks by providing information to the company’s decision makers. Symphion also has a staff that can help aid and manage the companies it works with.
Kanna: Launched in Dallas this year, Kanna is a gig marketplace for the cannabis industry, connecting businesses with vetted part-time workers. Kanna also vets the companies it works with to ensure they are compliant with the laws of the state they operate in.
GuestX: This Dallas-based enterprise software suite is focused on multi-venue ticket sales.
