Jamie Erbes, Director of Google Maps Platform at Google, was honored at the Dallas Business Journal's 2023 Women in Technology Awards.

Erbes is responsible for the Technical Customer Experience, leading a global organization of software engineers who create the tools, coding examples, and support for the millions of developers who use our development platform.

She has spent 40 years working in the technology industry. Initially pursuing a degree in piano performance, Erbes wanted to double major in a space that would expand her career opportunities.

“I decided to double-major in Computer Science and absolutely loved it,” Erbes told the Dallas Business Journal.

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment over the past year?

Both of my kids got married and moved into their own homes. I happily survived my transition to an official empty nest!

What opportunity for your company over the next year has you most excited?

I was recently asked to serve as our division's Accessibility Executive Sponsor. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple Google businesses to help our products be relevant to all people.
