Cynthia Loescher, VP of Information Technology at Golden Chick, was honored at the Dallas Business Journal's 2023 Women in Technology Awards.
She is responsible for the development of technology solutions and company initiatives for all systems and programs.
Loescher began her career as an accountant, eventually landing in business improvement. Loescher first knew she wanted to pursue a career in technology during her time as an accountant at Fossil Watches.
“I was given the opportunity to learn how to build reports using a report writer and begun re-creating missing reports as well as enhancing existing reports with drill downs and embedded links,” Loescher told the Dallas Business Journal.
Since then, Loescher has spent most of her career-enhancing business practices by creating robotic processes to automate tasks, saving hours of work for employees.

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment over the past year?
Sharing and using online order processing and analytics awareness with our other executive team has been huge to improve performance. During COVID-19, drive-thru and third-party food delivery was a key factor in our success. After analyzing data in 2022, we recognized areas that we needed to improve and decided to relaunch training to all stores, including operations, marketing and IT. Areas such as point of sales and internet connectivity have improved our accuracy score and grown sales.
What is something people aren’t thinking about that will change your industry in the future?
Geofencing – some companies are using this technology to send push notifications to interested customers nearby. Happy hour and other limited-time offers can be pushed when users nearby get special push notifications notifying them about the promotion.
