Carla Eid, Vice President of Global Enterprise Architecture at PepsiCo, was honored at the Dallas Business Journal's 2023 Women in Technology Awards.
Eid is responsible for defining technology strategies to enable PepsiCo's digital transformation and desired business outcomes. She also governs and ensures the organization aligns with enterprise standards and shared solutions.
Eid’s path to technology began with her studies in computer and communication engineering, followed by the completion of her MBA.
But it was not until her first job at a real estate development company, where she developed solutions to enable the business, that she found her passion for technology.
“This combination was the ideal mix to focus on the applications of technology in the business setting, and what led me to my current career path,” Eid told the Dallas Business Journal.

2023 Women in Technology
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment over the past year?
By helping shape the technology strategy for key digital transformation programs, I have been able to position PepsiCo's Enterprise Architecture function as a strategic value-add partner to the Business. Enterprise Architecture is now part of key technology decisions versus simply a governance body.
What opportunity for your company over the next year has you most excited?
I am very excited about Generative AI, algorithms capable of generating new content such as text, images, or audio from the training data, and its applications to our business. Generative AI will help create new opportunities to drive next-level innovation and optimization.
