As we continue down the uncertain road to post-pandemic "normalcy," one thing bosses are learning is that it's a lot easier to get folks to come back into the office if that office is a cool place.
Employees are looking for nearby amenities, or better yet in-office perks. Now that people have gotten used to kicking their feet up on the couch from 9-5, it's tough to convince them where they really want to be is an office chair, no matter how ergonomic.
So we at Columbus Inno thought the time was right to find out which office in Central Ohio is the most alluring.
Throughout the spring, we'll be collecting and sharing walk-throughs of the coolest tech and startup offices throughout the region. We'll also include some that we've visited ourselves in the past year. Then we'll hold a vote to determine which one truly stands out as the coolest startup office in Central Ohio. (See our contest rules here.)
Want to participate? Send an email to ekennedy@bizjournals.com, along with anywhere from three to 10 photos of your office. We need captions, credit lines and copyright information — that means we need written confirmation that whoever owns the photos gives us permission to publish them.
I'll follow up as needed for more detail, and to let you know if you've been selected to participate. Then at the end of March we'll use a poll for our readers to pick a winner.
The prize? Glory, I guess, plus serving as an inspiration for all the managers out there eager to get their people back at their desks.
