Case Western Reserve conference to help companies with digital transformation

Case Western Reserve University and the Innovation Research Interchange are hosting the 2021 Digital Futures Virtual Conference in Cleveland on Oct. 11-14.

Companies are making their products and services more digital to change how they engage with customers and how they work, Case Western Reserve said in a press release.

This market for digital transformation is expected to reach $3.2 trillion by 2025, driven by increasing adoption of the Internet of Things, according to a recent report from Meticulous Research.

At the conference, companies will learn the next digital steps their organization should take and how to take them, the university said.

This year’s conference — the third annual — will introduce “global benchmarking” among traditional firms, said Youngjin Yoo, an entrepreneurship and information systems professor at the university who will be one of the event's keynote speakers.

"We are launching a global research program on digital maturity among legacy firms in different industries and regions, forming a global industry-academic research partnership network," Yoo said in the university's release.

Each day of the conference will consist of a keynote presentation, followed by workshops tackling different elements of digital transformation.
