Giant Eagle says it has become the first U.S. grocery and convenience-store chain to accept PayPal and Venmo in store.

That means you can keep your cash in your wallet and don’t have to fish out a credit card.

The authorized electronic payments are good at the company’s 474 supermarket and GetGo locations throughout western Pennsylvania, Ohio, northern West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.

The company says Giant Eagle and GetGo are the nation’s first grocery and convenience-store chains to take the digital-payment form at the register.
