Presta, a digital lending startup in Cleveland, has launched after raising $3.3 million in equity.
Distributed Ventures in New York City led the pre-seed fundraise in which Zeal Capital Partners, Matchstick Ventures, The Fund, Tech Stars, and Jumpstart Ventures participated, Distributed Ventures said in a statement.
JumpStart Ventures is the venture capital unit of Cleveland venture developer JumpStart Inc.
Founded by Leopoldo Peña and Peter Truog, Presta has created a digital lending platform that helps community banks lend money to businesses more efficiently, Distributed Ventures said.
Presta's digital platform hosts the whole lending process, from outreach, application, underwriting, closing, servicing, and reporting, the New York firm said.
The fundraise will support the growth of Presta’s digital platform and expansion of its team, Distributed Ventures said.
