Society Brands is the winner of Cleveland Inno's 2023 Inno Madness competition.
The Amazon aggregator takes home the title having defeated SPR Therapeutics Inc. in the final of our month-long competition in which we asked readers to advance companies in a bracket-style challenge based on one question: "Which company would you invest in?"
After four rounds of voting, Society Brands stands atop the field.
The Canton-based company began 2022 by raising $204 million in debt and equity in its first institutional capital raise. Led by co-founder and CEO Michael Sirpilla, the company added to its staff, acquired several online brands and developed technologies intended to generate growth and efficiencies for those brands.
The company now can tout a 2023 Inno Madness title, as well.
Runner-up SPR Therapeutics won the inaugural Inno Madness competition last year, defeating Cleveland Kitchen in the 2022 final.

We launched this year's Inno Madness competition at the start of March. The goal of Inno Madness is to offer a glimpse of some of the companies working in the innovation space in Northeast Ohio.
