Describe your device. AquiSense’s PearlSurface offers touchless, chemical-free disinfection for small devices, high-touch items and PPE such as N95 masks. The PearlSurface is fitted with ultraviolet LEDs that inactivate bacteria with strong UV light.

What makes this product innovative? The PearlSurface is one of the world’s first devices to provide UV disinfection in a controlled and safe environment. The product provides consistent and even disinfection across the entire surface of the target items while not exposing those around the device to harmful UV light.

What process helped bring about this innovation? When COVID-19 began we saw an increase in demand for such a device with supply chains failing for vital equipment we saw more and more people wanting to reuse PPE. Our CEO worked with our engineering, production, and R&D teams to develop the product which went from concept to production in three weeks.

What's the potential market size for the product? With the ongoing global emergency and continued demand for disinfection, we are expecting to ship hundreds of PearlSurface products each month. With new distributors being added and new retailers picking up the product this will likely grow. The potential for this product is any office, medical applications, school or other facility that requires the protection of the public while they visit the premises.
