Describe your company and the product you offer. Abre provides a leading education management platform offering software solutions for managing school, delivering virtual instruction and connecting students with the community services they need to be successful.

The Abre platform saves time and fosters productivity and efficiency, leaving educators and administrators with more time for student engagement that drives positive student outcomes.

How are you fostering innovation? We have developed cross-functional solution teams that will change every nine months. The teams are tasked with high-level ownership of the current state of a specific Abre product solution as well as with determining growth opportunities to guide the overall business strategy.

What has been the biggest challenge your company has overcome as a startup? The coronavirus pandemic has created and continues to create extreme challenges for educators. The education field has been greatly impacted, and we continue to work with our customers and prospects to provide support in whatever ways we can, such as by providing free access to the Abre Hub, offering dedicated in-house customer service, and strategizing with customers on how to best solve their current challenges.

What has been the company's smartest move so far? Abre competes against very large, incumbent software companies that focus exclusively on what happens inside the school or the classroom. In 2019, Abre, working closely with Cincinnati Public Schools, developed the Abre Community Engagement solution that connects schools with community partners and essentially any organization that engages students in a program outside of the school. This solution provides a significant point of difference compared to our competition and represents an important tool for schools to provide more opportunities for students to grow.
