Two teams remain in Inno Madness, Cincy Inno's bracket-style tech tournament.
Band Connect and Nichefire will face off in the finals after narrowly bypassing their competition in Round 4. Band Connect topped Safewave by a mere 14 votes, while Nichefire’s margin of victory over newcomer Noxsano was 66.
In total, 1,650 votes were cast in the round – more votes than all previous rounds combined. In total, votes for Inno Madness have topped 3,150 in the competition’s seventh year.
Inno Madness is a friendly, bracket-style challenge where companies advance based on one question: Whom would you invest in? The competition aims to raise awareness and drive excitement for the city’s ecosystem and spotlight those driving it forward.
Band Connect, a Techstars Healthcare Accelerator grad, is building a connected health platform that enables physical therapists to virtually re-create an in-clinic experience for their patients at home, while Nichefire is building an artificial intelligence-powered platform to help companies – such as Walmart – understand and predict the impact of emerging cultural trends. Nichefire raised an undisclosed pre-seed round last year, while Band Connect has landed $500,000 in pre-seed funding, with a $1.5 million seed round underway. In March, Band Connect also received approval for its first U.S. patent.
Voting for the finals is now open and ends at 11:59 p.m. Monday, April 8. We have all your contest rules here.
The winner will be announced April 9 and will receive the ultimate bragging rights.
