A Greater Cincinnati startup has relocated to a new office in the suburbs, underscoring its fast growth in a move that more than triples its physical footprint.

Pantomath has moved into a new office at 8805 Governor’s Hill Road, staying within the suburb of Mason as it grows. The move marks a new chapter for the data startup that launched in 2022 as it swells from 2,500 square feet in its previous office to roughly 10,000.

“It’s definitely a huge space in our context as we grow,” Founder and CEO Somesh Saxena told the Business Courier.

Pantomath is a cloud-based platform that aims to fix broken data pipelines and data-related issues that plague companies. Saxena launched Pantomath several weeks after leaving his job at GE Aerospace in February 2022, nurturing the startup from its roots operating out of Orca Coworking in Mason to its new home in the building, owned by Union Savings Bank.

Many of Pantomath’s employees are from Mason or other suburbs of Cincinnati, Saxena said, but the company also enjoys the proximity of the area. The Governor’s Hill location puts the startup right near Interstate 71 and a variety of dining and shopping locations.

“It's a really good spot to be in," Saxena said. "The central location and great talent in the area drew us to it.”

Pantomath’s leased was brokered by Colliers’ Matt Smyth and Thomas Drought.

The new office has plenty of room for growth. The office has about 50 desks set up right now, Saxena said, though the startup could easily fit 70 to 80 workspaces. There’s a variety of meeting rooms – ranging from a board room to a war room to huddle rooms – and soft seating options throughout. There’s also a section of the office that’s oriented toward team building and fun, with Ping-Pong and foosball tables.

The move comes as other companies in the Cincinnati region are shrinking their footprint or reconfiguring their offices in smaller spaces. At Pantomath, there’s been a strong desire to work mostly in-person despite the company’s flexibility with working from home.

Saxena said employees told leadership they prefer working in person. The company is seeing higher productivity, plus greater speed and collaboration.

“It wasn't a top-down decision made by me or the leadership team," Saxena said. "It was driven by everyone across the company organically. The entire team has been seeing tremendous value in in-person collaboration. That is what gave us the confidence to invest in a 10,000 square feet location with a multi-year lease.”

Pantomath teased the move in October 2023, fresh off the heels of a $14 million Series A fundraise, its second venture round since its launch. The round brings Pantomath’s total funding to $18 million – all raised in a 16-month span

In addition to adding more local employees, Saxena sees Pantomath hiring remote employees on the sales and marketing side of the startup. He predicts there could be up to 80 local employees, from its current headcount of more than 30, but upward of 100 in total as the company evolves.
