A week-long event celebrating entrepreneurs and startups in the Tri-State will return in October with a new theme and format.

StartupCincy Week, which is entering its sixth year, will run from Monday, Oct. 10-Saturday, Oct. 15, organizers said. That’s longer than the traditional four-day format from prior years — with a schedule that somewhat overlaps with Blink’s return to the city. The nation's largest light, art and projection mapping experience will take place Oct. 13-16.

StartupCincy Week will look to ignite and pay homage to the city’s dynamic and creative spirit, hence its theme, “Spark the Future.”

Overall, the event will feature panel speakers, along with interactive and diverse activities. Programming will reintroduce startup supporters, provide current and future founders with keys to success, open doors for corporate and governmental innovation, connections and innovations.

“We want to celebrate and showcase the industry-changing entrepreneurs right here in our region,” StartupCincy Week Marketing Manager Kate Hursh-Wogenstahl said in a release. “Through StartupCincy Week and our supporting programming, we’re here to show the rest of the world that Cincinnati is the best place to be for technology and innovation.”

A full schedule of events, including speakers, workshops, panels and networking activities, will be announced over the coming weeks.

StartupCincy Week was founded in 2017 as a means to recruit talent and funding to the region. The inaugural event attracted 4,500 attendees with 7,000 livestreams and 4.2 million social impressions.

Cintrifuse, a startup catalyst group, serves as the lead organizer of the event, in collaboration with other ecosystem support organizations in the region. The event is free, although registration (now open) is required.
