A year-old Cincinnati startup aimed at connecting female insurance professionals is going national.

On Tuesday, Cincinnati-based InsureWomen flipped the switch to have members join throughout the United States, founder Kim Beach told Cincy Inno.

The expansion comes as Beach continues to refine organization's early goals.

Last year, Beach aimed to have InsureWomen educate and connect women to insurance agents that understand the unique circumstances they face. Now, she's positioning the platform as a way for female insurance agents to have a like-minded community to learn from.

The ultimate goal, she said, is to gain the critical mass nationwide to accomplish InsureWomen's original mission.

"Through Covid and the ability to communicate so much more easily, women have come together and found a voice and that’s what InsureWomen is," Beach said. "It’s a place for female insurance agents to come together as a community to serve women buyers."

She added: "We’re building the network and community for women. And eventually we’ll be able to connect (InsureWomen members) to marketing opportunities."

Those interested in joining the InsureWomen network must pay a $99 annual fee that will include access to a webinar series as well as the organization's network of agents. Beach said her goal is to have 200 members within the first year.
