Two Cincinnati area medical technology companies have been approved to receive a combined $250,000 in startup grants from the Ohio Third Frontier program.

Datirium LLC in Mount Lookout was awarded $150,000 on Tuesday for the development and commercialization of a scientific data analysis platform to help researchers perform routine analysis with automated quality control, saving time and money, the Ohio Department of Development said in a release.

In addition, DialGuide in Mason received a $100,000 grant to develop and commercialize an AI-enabled digital vice president of sales position. The DialGuide technology enables pre-call preparation, real-time coaching, and post-call feedback and training for sales teams.

In all, the Ohio Third Frontier Commission approved $850,000 in funding for six medical technology companies in the state.

Ohio has long been a leader in developing medical technologies, Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Development Department and chair of the OTFC, said in the release.

"These advancements will help doctors and researchers improve lives and patient outcomes," Mihalik said.
