Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is offering customers a new way to get their food at the airport — robots.

Santa Monica, Calif.-based Ottonomy has launched a fleet of Ottobots, the company's autonomous delivery robots, at the airport just as holiday travel kicks into full swing. The launch comes roughly a year after Ottonomy piloted its robots at CVG.

Now, passengers can order grab-and-go beverage and travel items via orderatcvg.com to be delivered to them within Concourse B by the autonomous robots. Once their order is placed, passengers are sent a QR to scan when the delivery is made so they can open the delivery bot and retrieve their items, according to a release.

"At CVG, we are redefining the travel experience by combining talent and tech to deliver innovative solutions," CVG CEO Candace McGraw said in a statement. "We've built a culture of innovation at the airport and are excited to partner with Ottonomy to test and advance this technology in a live, airport environment."

CVG has a history of partnering with startups. For instance, ThorDrive tests its autonomous vehicles at the airport, and Basil Street Cafe is aiming to bring its pizza vending machines there.
