Main Street Ventures has announced its latest grant recipients, thanks to the backing of the Cincinnati City Council.
This week, the Over-the-Rhine mainstay unveiled $110,000 in new grant funding. The funding comes from the $1 million in federal funds the Cincinnati City Council allotted to Main Street Ventures for local entrepreneurs, particularly women-owned small businesses, according to a news release.
Five companies took home its signature Launch and Leap grants, including:
- Re-Assist (Launch Grant): Re-Assist is designed to become the ultimate referral assistance management app for patients in transitions of care, case management, and vendors to offer educated choices to improve quality of life.
- The Epiphany Brand (Launch Grant): The Epiphany Brand is creating a CPG product that aims to make towels cleaner between each use for the consumer by removing bacteria.
- Aclipse Campervans (Leap Grant): Aclipse provides a unique travel experience by renting campervans that are thoughtfully designed and fully equipped with all of the camping essentials for adventures big and small.
- Brookes & Hyde (Leap Grant): Brookes and Hyde is a luxury accessory company focused on creating timeless and appealing products such as belts, wallets, and more.
- The Corporation for Findlay Market (Leap Grant): The Findlay Market Shopping App provides easy access to 30-plus Findlay Market merchants.
Launch grants support companies still designing their product but have evidence of consumer engagement to validate their business model and range from $5,000 to $10,000. Leap grants support businesses making revenue to help scale their community impact and increase the odds of survival and range from $10,000 to $30,000.
Main Street Ventures did not disclose the exact amount each company received.
