A Cincinnati IT firm dedicated to aiding customer engagement for retailers is once again reshaping its C-suite.

Flooid, previously known as PCMS Datafit, recently announced Diane Palmquist is now global CEO of the company, having previously shared the CEO role with Martyn Osborne. Osborne will transition to group chief product officer.

Palmquist joined the firm, which has dual headquarters in Cincinnati and Coventry, England, in May. At the time, the company decided to go co-CEOs to match complementary skillsets and better help the firm navigate the coronavirus pandemic, according to a news release.

The change took effect Aug. 25. Palmquist is set to relocate to the Cincinnati region, but that move has been delayed due to the pandemic, according to a spokeswoman.

"Flooid has tremendous room to grow," Palmquist said in a statement. "If we continue to invest in our products, work strategically with our clients and continue to invest in our people, I see high-growth opportunities for us."

Flooid provides retail software such as point of sale, customer service and customer loyalty offerings as well as a software that allows customers to purchase items online and pick them up in stores. The company's major clients include brands like Walgreens, Shoppers Drug Mark, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and David Jones.

Its software is active in more than 150 retail brands in 60 countries and 300,000 points of sale worldwide. And its network of collaborators include Microsoft, Intel and HP. Flooid allows retailers the ability to have the "basket" of goods consumers are interested in follow them through the shopping journey.

Flooid employs 125 people at its Blue Ash office, with plans to add to its head count by the end of the year, according to a spokeswoman.
