One of Cincinnati's largest private companies officially opened its new innovation center this week.
Springdale-based ProAmpac held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday to formally open its new 35,000-square-foot innovation center located outside Rochester, N.Y. The facility represents an $8 million investment and will create 40 new jobs, officials previously said.
“This is ProAmpac’s new home for product development, rapid sample prototyping and evaluation of new packaging, as well as a training hub for customers and employees,” ProAmpac CEO and founder Greg Tucker said in a statement.
The new center is connected to ProAmpac's existing manufacturing site, one of 50 the company has throughout the globe.
ProAmpac creates flexible packaging for the food, pet food, medical, security, industrial and retail markets. It’s No. 7 among Greater Cincinnati’s largest private companies, with $1.4 billion in 2019 revenue. The nearly six-year-old manufacturer also ranks as the second-largest North American packaging company based on flexible packaging revenue.
ProAmpac is on a buying streak, having announced three acquisitions this year alone.
