An Ohio-based startup backed by CincyTech continues to grow its leadership team as it rolls out its latest product offering.
IncludeHealth, which is developing digital health platforms for musculoskeletal care and training, named Dr. Thomas Santo its chief growth and strategy officer, effective June 7. It’s a new position for the company, and IncludeHealth’s third addition to its leadership team this year.
Santo, prior to joining IncludeHealth, was an associate partner in McKinsey & Co.’s health care systems and services practice since 2014, where he worked with both health systems and payers in the design, execution and implementation of innovative care delivery strategies, including digital, at-home and at-risk models. Prior to McKinsey, Santo trained in radiology at Montefiore Health System in New York.
Santo, who will be based in New York, will lead IncludeHealth’s growth and talent strategy — and work directly with payers and providers to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships.
“IncludeHealth is poised for growth,” Santo said in a release. “Our platform and products, combined with a unique partnership approach, create a vision with remarkable potential impact. We believe this will be the new model for digital (musculoskeletal) care.”
Santo joins the leadership team as IncludeHealth launches its latest platform, MSK-OS, which allows providers and payers to deliver both remote and on-site musculoskeletal care using body-tracking technologies and cloud software.
MSK-OS can measure 16 joints in real time and features a suite of animated physical therapy movements and exercises, which providers can organize into personalized treatment plans.
IncludeHealth said no additional hardware or software is required.
It's the latest evolution for the company, which counts Uptown-based seed fund CincyTech as its largest investor. IncludeHealth was founded by University of Cincinnati alumnus Ryan Eder based on his 2006 senior thesis. Its partners include Google, the U.S. Air Force, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and more.
IncludeHealth has more than 20 employees, half of which are based in Cincinnati and Columbus. The startup is also planning to open a 1,600-square-foot innovation lab at UC’s 1819 Innovation Hub in Avondale.
Santo joins fellow new hires Anang Choksh and Chris Slee, who joined IncludeHealth as chief clinical officer and chief technology officer, respectively, in January.
