The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority and Electrada, a Cincinnati-based electric mobility company, have installed five electric vehicle charging stations in the Port-managed Fountain Square South garage.

The Port manages the garage, which is city owned.

“By supplying electric vehicle charging technology in the Fountain Square South Garage, we’re addressing a customer need and advancing our portfolio of work focused on environmental stewardship,” said Port CEO Laura Brunner.

The electric charging stations are the latest at a downtown garage. According to ApolloHome, garages, lots or sites with electric vehicle charging capability in downtown and Over-the-Rhine include:

  • The 84.51 garage downtown, 521 Race St.
  • The downtown Kroger garage, 100 Court St.
  • 309 E. 8th St.
  • 1322 Sycamore St.
  • 13 W. 9th St.

Tesla stations:

  • 35 W. 5th St.
  • 21c Hotel, 609 Walnut St.

A city ordinance requires that every new garage built with city funding include electric vehicle charging stations.
