A national coworking franchiser that heavily targets city suburbs is bringing its concept to Cincinnati as Covid-19 continues to transform where – and how – people work.
Colorado’s Office Evolution, which bills itself as the nation’s largest and fastest-growing coworking franchiser, awarded the brand’s first Cincinnati-area development deal to local residents Jennifer and Brian Evans.
The new location in Cincinnati, which has yet to be named, will offer private offices, conference rooms and shared workspace for small- to medium-sized businesses and employees of larger corporations working remotely. Office Evolution boasts more than 70 locations in 25 states across the U.S., including three sites in Columbus.
According to a release, the Evans’ are eyeing locations in Blue Ash, the northeast suburbs, as well as other areas in Greater Cincinnati. The couple is looking for spaces with 10,000-12,000 square feet. Office Evolution said the couple hopes to secure a lease within eight months.
“Both the market and opportunity are ripe for success,” Brian Evans said. “Jennifer and I live and work in Greater Cincinnati. We know first hand that now, more than ever, business owners need a place [like this].”
The Evans’ signed the deal at the end of August. Brian Evans said Office Evolution “fulfills a void in a growing segment.” Office Evolution has seen steady growth, but Covid-19 continues to transform where – and how – people work. Nearly 30% of all office space will become shared office space by 2030, according to a JLL report.
Small business and remote workers are “fleeing city centers” the company said, in the search for a workspace that is closer to home, easy to access and safe.
Office Evolution, founded in 2003 and franchising since 2012, has a network of 72 locations in 25 states. Cincinnati represents the company’s second city in Ohio.
