A Cincinnati marketing firm that helps companies manage their online reviews has been acquired by a local peer.

Mobile Agent Now, founded by former P&Ger Mark Jeffreys, recently sold to Cincinnati-based Primary Hosting for an undisclosed sum, according to a news release.

"The acquisition of Mobile Agent Now marks an exciting new chapter for the company," Jeffreys said in a statement. "Primary Hosting has been intimately involved in the building of our tech stack and business model from the beginning in 2017. Having the review response capability fall under their leadership will be a strong strategic fit."

As part of the deal, Jeffreys will turn over operational control of Mobile Agent Now to Christopher Brock, CEO of Primary Hosting.

Over-the-Rhine-based Mobile Agent Now's platform is able to aggregate, analyze and respond to reviews on behalf of companies, something officials say is increasingly important in today's tech-savvy environment. Nestle Crunch, Crest and Nutella are just some of the companies that have worked with Mobile Agent Now, the release states.

For its part, Primary Hosting allows companies to select, deploy and manage cloud hosting, marketing tech, software licenses, data mobility, computer equipment and telecom connectivity from one system, according to its website.
