Cincinnati accelerator The Brandery said Tuesday that it is working with gener8tor to run an emergency one-week virtual program for small businesses in Ohio affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Under the Emergency Response Program, local businesses and entrepreneurs will have access to a free, week-long webinar series designed to identify and leverage critical resources in order to navigate the current crisis.

The program will run April 6-10. All Ohio-based businesses are invited to participate.

The webinars will cover topics such as determining eligibility and applying for SBA programs; civic, philanthropic and state emergency relief resources; navigating changes required by new laws; federal emergency relief programs and local support; and mental health and wellness resources.

Direct assistance will also be provided to companies that want to virtually meet with gener8tor team members to discuss specific issues with their business. Gener8tor will also work with community groups interested in providing pro bono resources to small businesses such as virtual office hours.

gener8tor was founded in Madison, Wisc. about eight years ago, and has since expanded throughout the country. Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, it has rolled out emergency response programs in several states, including Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois.

"We understand how critical it is to support the entrepreneurs and small businesses in our local ecosystems and we hope the Emergency Response Program can increase access and education around the resources available to them," Brandery Managing Directory Jeff Boeh said in a statement. "We will lean heavily on our network of mentors, investors and ecosystem partners to deliver support for businesses in Ohio."

Startups that with to participate must sign up by Saturday, April 4 at 11:59 p.m.
