The HCDC Business Center has a new business coach.

Antony Seppi, formerly operations manager at Hamilton-based small business incubator The Hamilton Mill, will join the 1989-born coworking spot, incubator and all-around area business resource HCDC on Monday, Nov. 12.

In addition to his work at The Hamilton Mill, Seppi also served as the program director for Pipeline H2O. This accelerator works exclusively with water tech startups looking to solve water issues in communities across the globe.

His work in the #StartupCincy community is one of the reasons HCDC is excited to have him come aboard.

"HCDC is proud to welcome Antony Seppi to the HCDC Business Center team," said HCDC Director Patrick Longo. "His vast experience and background in working with startup businesses will make him a huge asset to our clients as a business coach. We couldn't be more pleased that he decided to join our team!"

Seppi added that the ability to work more closely with entrepreneurs on a one-on-one basis was an exciting element of his new role.

"While at The Hamilton Mill as operations manager, I touched many startup businesses, but wasn't able to spend as much time with them on a one-on-one basis as I would have liked," he said. "When I heard about the open business coach position at HCDC, I saw the opportunity I was looking for to dive in deeper with entrepreneurs and help them grow from the ground up."

What does that mean for the Pipeline H2O 2019 program, which was accepting applications? A temporary suspension, the accelerator announced in a press release. In the meantime, the program will search for a new operations director.

Pipeline H2O has been and continues to be a unique, high-quality, results-driven accelerator for cohort members," said The Hamilton Mill's executive director Chris Lawson. "Because of the phenomenal work Antony did for Pipeline H2O, we want to ensure we can deliver the same level of quality programming for our members. It was a tough choice, but we would rather delay Pipeline H2O 2019 than risk delivering anything less than a stellar program.

A new timeline for reinstating the Pipeline H2O accelerator will be in the works between The Hamilton Mill and its partners. Those already submitting an application for the 2019 cohort "will be considered for future admission," the release adds.
