On Oct. 25, HCDC (coworking spot, incubator and all-around area business resource) hosted its annual Business Showcase and Innovation event.
It was an opportunity to give the entity's client organizations a chance to share their work to the larger #StartupCincy community at large, as well as area investors, universities and other media groups.
During the near day-long event, the participating companies specifically highlighted "where they've been and where they are headed." BB&T, Adex International and Miami University were among the event's sponsors.
"The HCDC Business Center Showcase and Innovation Village was a tremendous success that gave our clients the platform to show off their innovative businesses and cutting edge technologies," Patrick Longo, HCDC Business Center director, told Cincy Inno in an email. "The 35 companies who participated were welcomed by a huge audience of potential connections, capital, and fellow #StartUpCincy enthusiasts. The feedback already received from participating clients has been strong, with potential clients, capital, talent, and leadership being key outcomes. This supercharged demo day gives a big Cincinnati boost to all who participate and our incubation program!"
Participants found the event to be a helpful resource.
"I really enjoyed it and found wonderful connections," said John Gunnison-Wiseman of Urban Fast Forward. '[It was] a very valuable event on the Cincy scene!"
