Inno Approved is our monthly roundup of the tech and startup events to mark on your calendar.

There’s lots happening in Cincinnati’s startup and tech scene.

Unsure where to start? We’ve highlighted some of our favorite happenings in the greater Cincinnati area, moving week by week, then day to day, with information on pricing, location, theme, and anything else attendees ought to know. We'll update this calendar as the month progresses, too, so you'll never miss an event. Mingle on!

Week Two

Tuesday, 2/6 SBDC Start Up Tuesday: This event looks to provide attendees with the information they need to start a small businesses within Ohio. It's free to attend, and will run from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at the Union Institute and University. Get more information here.

How to Make Search Engines Happy (Intro to SEO): Hosted by Girl Develop It Cincinnati, this two-part workshop is for those interested in learning or growing in the basics of search engine optimization. The first class will run from 6:30p.m. to 9:30p.m., with the second occurring on Feb. 8 from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m., both at NaviStone. Cost is $54 per attendee. Bring your laptop! RSVP here.

Wednesday, 2/7 ACG & EACC Women — On Reaching Your Dreams: Jancoa CEO Mary Miller will speak at this ACG Cincinnati-hosted event, geared toward examining how women can encourage each other to pursue their dreams. The event will occur at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce from 11:30a.m. to 1:00p.m. Learn more here.

HCDC Toastmasters: This hour-long meeting, from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m., allows attendees to practice their public speaking skills by giving speeches, receiving feedback and leading teams. The HCDC Business Center will host this free event. Get more information here.

SE Cincy Elevator Demo Day 2018: At Union Hall from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., SE Cincy Elevator's cohort will present their companies to investors and others within the startup community. Get more information on this free event here.

Friday, 2/9 eKickStart: This 7:30a.m. to 9:00a.m. breakfast program, sponsored by the Queen City Angels, will feature insight from a local thought leader. Get more information here.

Week Three

Monday, 2/12 Pop-up Coworking: From 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m, Gather will open its doors for its Pop-Up Coworking event, with snacks, coffee and child care (for an additional fee). Pricing begins at $20 (for coworking only), and children must be registered 48 hours in advance. Get more information here.

Code Your First Responsive Website, Galentine's Day Edition: Join Girl Develop It Cincinnati for this intermediate class on HTML/CSS from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Cost is $96 per attendee. Get more information here.

Thursday, 2/15 UpTech 6 Community Demo Day: Head to The Carnegie at 5:00p.m. to hear from those startups participating in UpTech's sixth cohort. RSVP here.

Friday, 2/16 Small Giants Executive Breakfast: At this edition of the Small Giants Executive Breakfast Series, the Entrepreneur's Organization will interview Tier1 CEO Greg Harmeyer. Breakfast will be served, and there will be time for networking. The event begins at 7:30a.m., and tickets are $30. Get more information here.

Week Four

Monday, 2/19 How to Cintrifuse: This event looks to serve as "a field guide to getting the most of your membership." It's free and open to the public, and will occur at Union Hall from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m. Get more information here.

Wednesday, 2/21 Google My Business: This Aviatra Accelerators GROW workshop will highlight ways businesses can fully utilize Google via its My Business program. The event will feature partner Rusty Allison, city ambassador to Southwest, Ohio for Google. The program is slated for Feb. 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and will include a box lunch. Cincy Inno's Launch Meetup: Cincy Inno will host its official launch event at 1628 Ltd. from 5:30p.m. to 8:00p.m. The kickoff event will feature a conversation with Inno's writers and members of the community, as well as food, drink, networking and more. Learn about Inno, our goals for year one, and share your thoughts and insights on the Queen City's ecosystem. Friday, 2/23 Hillman Fridays: The Hillman Accelerator will host its weekly Friday meetup this week at 7:00 p.m. Get more information here.

Week Five

Wednesday, 2/28 Modern, Mobile-Friendly Websites with Bootstrap: Presented by TiER1, this Girl Develop It Cincinnati two-part workshop will help intermediate students obtain a stronger grasp on Bootstrap tech. The first class will occur from 6:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. at TiER1 Performance Solutions in Covington. Tickets are $48 per attendee. Laptop is required. RSVP here.
