Later Phone Bubbles: A West Loop Company Has Designed the Perfect Screen Protector

Remember that time when you carefully put a thin piece of sticky plastic over your phone and you still ended up with bubbles? Yea, that's the worst.

Thankfully, ReVamp Electronics - based in the West Loop - has developed an innovative new product to perfectly fit and protect your phone and tablet. The product, Simple Snap, has just emerged from the R&D process and has entered manufacturing; it's currently available for pre-order on its site.

Using patented technology to ensure perfect installation, Simple Snap combines a custom mold with an easy snap-on case. The screen is designed around the application process so that the quality of the item isn't over-shadowed by a faulty set-up. Check it out:

“We designed Simple Snap to be different – it fits devices like a second skin, and is fingerprint-resistant thanks to Oleophobic materials,” said COO David Sharma. “The custom mold will change the device protection industry.”

Often times, invention can be mistakenly favored over innovation. ReVamp hasn't built a brand new, complex product to protect smart phones; they've simply added new materials and methods to an existing technique to refine and improve how we take care of our devices.

ReVamp, an unheralded Chicago startup success story, began seven year's ago as an online repair depot for smartphones and tablets and ran out of its CEO's dorm room. Today, the company is one of the largest mail-in screen-repair providers in the world and distributes repair parts for Samsung, the iPhone and the iPad. ReVamp also recently launched ReN? - its premium line of parts - and Simple Snap, the company's first branded accessory, falls under the ReN? brand.

“The rise of smartphones and tablets is transpiring much faster than most realize," said Anant Handa, CEO of ReVamp Electronics. "This makes the necessity for screen protection fundamental."
