Foxtrot is reopening its third location this week.

The grocery store that at one point could be found in neighborhoods across Chicago announced that its Wicker Park location is next up in its rebirth.

Once one of Chicago's most prominent food startups, Foxtrot had as many as 33 locations in Chicago; Dallas; Austin, Texas; and Washington, D.C., but closed suddenly in April after merging with Dom's Kitchen & Market less than half a year earlier.

The corner store will return Thursday with an expanded coffee bar and new food offering, similar to other reopened locations.

The Wicker Park store, located at 1722 W. Division St., will be the third location to open since Foxtrot's original co-founder Mike LaVitola announced plans to reopen several locations in Chicago and Texas following the corner specialty grocery store's sudden closure. Foxtrot has since reopened its Old Town and Gold Coast locations.

The new Foxtrot is an entirely new company, as the entity that merged Foxtrot and Dom's Kitchen & Market, another Chicago corner store startup, declared bankruptcy earlier this year. As such, LaVitola needs to reapply for food and liquor licenses and get reinspected at every store before reopening.

Foxtrot Wicker Park's new menu will include breakfast and lunch options like breakfast tacos, pressed paninis, salads, sweet treats and different coffee blends. Foxtrot will also continue to promote and highlight local brands.

The company also promises faster fulfillment times and fresher ingredients as part of its relaunch.

While the Wicker Park reopening had been teased by LaVitola following the reopening of Foxtrot's Gold Coast and Old Town locations, it is not yet clear which locations will be next. LaVitola previously said that the new company had signed on or was very close to signing roughly a dozen locations of Foxtrot's previous portfolio.
