NockNock — a Chicago-based space-sharing startup that officially launched in August — now has a new mobile app where users can browse and book home, office and fitness spaces.

Founded by tech entrepreneur and angel investor Charles Ferguson, NockNock gives Chicago residents the opportunity to rent rooms, home offices, fitness rooms or any underutilized spaces by the hour. Each space is designed to cater to specific activities like a kitchen space in Rogers Park, an entire house for an event, or a private office to get a few hours of work done.

The app is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

Ferguson, who also directed and produced the Oscar-winning documentary "Inside Job" and has authored five books, previously told Chicago Inno that he thinks the market is ripe for the new space-sharing platform and considered it to be a real game-changer.

Since its inception, NockNock has seen rapid growth in the number of listings and bookings on the platform.

There are currently more than 120 fully vetted spaces listed on NockNock available to rent by the hour in the Chicagoland area.
