A new Chicago startup that helps companies with e-commerce sales is moving into a new Chicago-area office with plans to grow its headcount.
Logik.io said Tuesday that it has opened an office at 1770 First St. in Highland Park. The startup, which currently has 25 employees, said it plans to nearly double its headcount over the next year, with a focus on expanding its product and engineering teams.
The startup is led by CEO Christopher Shutts and Chairman Godard Abel, two Chicago entrepreneurs that co-founded BigMachines, a software firm that sold to Oracle in 2013. Abel is also the CEO of G2, a software review platform and marketplace that's valued at more than $1 billion.
Last October, Logik.io raised a $10 million seed round led by Indianapolis-based High Alpha and Salesforce Ventures.
The startup's B2B software helps companies streamline their sales processes and create customizable and interactive selling experiences for brands. Last month Logik.io partnered with ThreeKit, another Chicago startup backed by Abel, to help companies sell products in 3D and augmented reality.
