On Friday, May 1, Inno hosted its first virtual event amid the coronavirus crisis. Inno’s Senior Editor Jim Dallke chatted with Chris Gladwin, the CEO and co-founder of Ocient and co-chair of P33.

Gladwin is one of Chicago's most accomplished serial entrepreneurs. He founded cloud storage company Cleversafe in 2004 and sold it to IBM for more than $1 billion in 2015. The technology he started generated over 1,000 patents granted or filed.

Prior to Cleversafe, Chris was the founder and CEO of startups MusicNow and Cruise Technologies, and led product strategy for Zenith Data Systems. Gladwin is also one of the leaders of P33, an ambitious initiative to make Chicago a top-tier tech hub.

During the fireside chat, Gladwin explained his startup Ocient, how the coronavirus is impacting Chicago tech, and how startups can prepare for an uncertain future. He also dished on his plans to open a large outdoor adventure park in suburban Lemont.

If you weren't able to tune into the event, you can watch the full recording here.
