Moderne Ventures, a Chicago-based VC fund focused on real estate, finance, insurance, hospitality and home services startups, has revealed the seven companies accepted into its latest accelerator class.

Moderne’s Passport Program lasts for seven months and provides participants with education, insight and useful relationships that help drive customer acquisition. Founded in 2015 by Constance Freedman, Moderne Ventures previously only focused on real estate tech startups but has since expanded their scope.

"The Passport Program curates the most innovative solutions addressing our industries,” Freedman said in a statement. “We help companies understand complexities, optimize their products and services and connect them to partners who can benefit most from them."

In 2017, Moderne raised $43 million for its venture fund. At the time, the firm said its investments range from $200,000 to $3 million.

Since launching, Moderne has invested in startups, such as TaskEasy, UrbanBound, Growth Geeks and Better Mortgage.
