A Chicago-based tech consulting firm has been acquired by Atos, a large IT consulting company headquartered in Paris.

Atos announced Wednesday an agreement to buy Maven Wave, a Chicago tech consulting company that specializes in Google cloud services. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020, weren't disclosed.

Maven Wave, founded in 2008, has more than 330 employees and will do around $130 million in revenue this year, according to a news release.

Maven Wave is a Google Cloud Premier Partner and was recognized as the "Google Cloud North America Services Partner of the year" in 2018 and 2019. Its customers include Crate & Barrel, eHarmony, AB InBev and Rush University Medical Center, who use Maven Wave for help with their cloud-based digital needs.

Maven Wave was recently named the 12th fastest growing consulting firm on ALM’s Consulting magazine’s annual industry ranking.

“Atos offers an impressive global platform of technology assets and deep expertise enabling clients to drive digital capabilities at an entirely new scale and speed, while providing our people with exciting new challenges and career growth," Maven Wave's founders Brian Farrar, Jason Lee and Jeff Lee said in a statement.

Atos has more than 110,000 employees in 73 countries, and it does over € 11 billion in annual revenue. The company trades on the CAC40 Paris stock index.
