Popular photo editing app VSCO is adding to its Chicago office with a couple of experienced tech executives who will co-lead its local outpost.

VSCO announced this week that it has hired Chicago tech veteran Eric Lunt, the former CTO of Signal, as director of engineering. Lunt also previously co-founded Feedburner, which was acquired by Google in 2007, and before that was CTO at Spyonit.com, which was acquired by 724 Solutions in 2000.

The company also announced the hiring of Lily Jolly, who led product teams at Facebook for four years before most recently working as the director of product at Expedia. She also worked as a product manager at New York Magazine.

The new hires for VSCO come as the company just opened its Chicago office, which expects to hold around 20 employees within the next 12 months.

Founded in Oakland, Calif., in 2011, VSCO is a mobile app that allows users to edit images with different filters and tools. The company says it has more than 2 million paid subscribers using its app. It has raised $90 million in total venture funding to date.

Even if you’re not familiar with the app, you’ve probably come across a VSCO image on Instagram, as more than 200 million Instagram posts have been tagged with the hashtag #vscocam.

Lunt and Jolly join an experienced VSCO team, which also includes Allison Swope, VSCO’s head of product who previously worked at Facebook and led the development of Facebook Live and helped grow Facebook Messenger, and Vadim Lavrusik, another Facebook alum who worked on Facebook Live. Lavrusik serves as VSCO's director of product management.
