New Yorkers can order a Big Mac via Grubhub now that McDonald’s has partnered with the Chicago-based online food delivery company.

Chicago-based McDonald’s announced late Thursday that it is expanding McDelivery, a food delivery service it launched in 2017, to approximately 500 restaurants in the NYC and Tri-State Area by offering delivery through Grubhub and New York-based Seamless, which Grubhub acquired in 2013.

Before the partnerships with Grubhub and Seamless, McDelivery was primarily available through Uber Eats. McDonald’s recently also teamed up with DoorDash.

Working with Grubhub allows McDonald’s to better coordinate with drivers as they pick up orders from restaurants. The “Just in Time” tech, as Grubhub calls it, streamlines in-store operations that allow for diners to receive food as hot and fresh as possible.

"We are excited to add Seamless and Grubhub, leading delivery platforms in NYC, to our McDelivery service and to create more options for our customers to enjoy their favorite McDonald's menu items via McDelivery,” said Marcos Quesada, vice president of McDonald's Stamford Field Office, in a statement.

Other fast-food chains Grubhub delivers for include Louisville-based Yum Brands, the owner of Taco Bell and KFC. Grubhub also delivers Panera Bread.

Grubhub shares rose 3 percent to $63.09 early Friday morning, but have since come down.
