Starbucks is expanding its “Starbucks Delivers” pilot to six more cities across the U.S.—and one of them is Chicago.

The food and beverage retailer is partnering with meal delivery service Uber Eats to bring its lattes, sandwiches and dark-roasted coffee cups directly to customers through the Uber Eats mobile app, available on iOS and Android devices.

In Chicago, the service will begin operations in select stores “in the coming weeks,” with the final goal of being available in seven U.S. cities this spring. The expansion started on Tuesday in San Francisco, with Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C. to follow. It all began after an initial test in Miami in fall of 2018.

Starbucks pointed out that approximately 95% of its core menu items will be available for delivery via Uber Eats, and customers will be able to customize their orders just as they would when ordering on Starbucks mobile apps. Delivery orders will come with an initial $2.49 booking fee.

“We’re building on key learnings from past delivery pilots and by integrating our ordering technology directly with Uber Eats, we’ve unlocked the ability to bring Starbucks to customers for those times when they’re not able to come to us,” Roz Brewer, group president and COO at Starbucks, said in a statement.

Later this month, “Starbucks Delivers” will also start as a pilot in London. The latest seasonal beverage to be included in the Starbucks menu is the Cinnamon Shortbread Latte for $4.95.
