On Sunday, some 45,000 athletes will trek 26.2 miles through nearly 30 Chicago neighborhoods for the 2018 Chicago Marathon. If you want to track a friend or family member running in the race, or just want to keep tabs on this year's top finishers, we've got you covered.
First, some key race details. The marathon kicks off at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 with the wheelchair race. The Handcycle race follows at 7:22 a.m., and athletes with disabilities begin at 7:23. Finally, three waves of runners will start at 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m. and 8:35 a.m. The race will start and finish in Grant Park.

The Chicago Marathon App
The Bank of America Chicago Marathon App, available on the App Store and Google Play, is one of the best ways to stay on top of all things related to the marathon, including runner tracking. The app includes live race day runner tracking, elite athlete profiles, and a live broadcast stream of the race. Inside the app, you can search by a runner's name or their bib number.

Race day results will be available on the Chicago Marathon website, where spectators can search by name, bib number, or filter by specific groups like elite runners and wheelchair participants. Race day images are also available online through MarathonFoto, where participants can view their own personal photo gallery from the race. You can also search through Chicago Marathon race results dating back to 1996.
TV, Radio and Livestream
The race will be broadcast on WMAQ-Ch. 5 and Telemundo Chicago from 7-11 a.m. Both nbcchicago.com and telemundochicago.com will carry a livestream from the start of the race until 3 p.m. You can listen live on the radio via WSCR-AM 670.
