The number of Illinois residents on the Forbes 400 list is one person shorter this year after Outcome Health Co-Founder Rishi Shah was left off following Outcome's lawsuit last year with investors.

There were 14 Illinoisans on last year's Forbes 400, a list of the wealthiest people in America. Shah, who made the list for the first time last year at age 31, had a net worth of $3.6 billion in 2017, according to Forbes. He was the only local resident to fall from last year's Forbes 400.

This year's list included 13 local names, led by Citadel founder Ken Griffin, whose net worth is reportedly $10 billion.

Shah was CEO of Chicago-based Outcome Health, a startup he co-founded in 2006 under the name Context Media, until he was forced to step down from his chief executive role as a result of a settlement with investors. Outcome's investors, which included Goldman Sachs, the Pritzker Group and Alphabet, sued the Chicago startup for fraud, accusing the company of misleading advertisers on the effectiveness of the company’s ads.

Those investors had put nearly $500 million into Outcome at a more than $5 billion valuation, making Outcome the state's most valuable tech startup. Outcome's current valuation is unclear, but Pitchbook notes that Outcome has unlikely retained its $5 billion valuation given its legal troubles.

Outcome provides digital wallboards to doctors' exam rooms to connect with patients at the point of care. It sells ads to pharmaceutical companies and other businesses.

Shah, along with President Shradha Agarwal, remained on Outcome's board until last June, when the two announced they'd be stepping down from their chairman and vice chairman roles, respectively.

As for this year's Forbes 400, a handful of familiar Chicago tech names appear, such as Morningstar founder Joe Mansueto, Pritztker Group founder and gubernatorial candidate J.B. Pritzker, and Tempus co-founder Eric Lefkofsky. Here are all the local names who cracked the list:

Ken Griffin (45): $10 billion

Sam Zell (114): $5.6 billion

Thomas Pritzker (172): $4.2 billion

Neil Bluhm (179): $4 billion

Joe Mansueto (215): $3.6 billion

Mark Walter (223): $3.5 billion

J.B. Pritzker (251): $3.2 billion

Jean "Gigi" Pritzker (251): $3.2 billion

Patrick Ryan (280): $2.9 billion

Penny Pritzker (302): $2.7 billion

Ty Warner (316): $2.6 billion

Joseph Grendys (328): $2.5 billion

Eric Lefkofsky (328): $2.5 billion
