Chicago has yet another option for people who want alcohol delivered right to their door.

goPuff, an on-demand convenience store delivery startup, announced that its alcohol delivery arm goBooze has launched in Chicago.

goPuff was founded in Philadelphia in 2013 and set out to deliver thousands of products—like snacks, phone chargers and other convenience items—for a flat $1.95 delivery fee. The startup launched goBooze in 2016 to bring that same ease of delivery to alcohol.

The app, available on the App Store and on Google Play, offers a range of Chicago beers from Goose Island, Revolution and Half Acre, as well as national alcohol brands you'd find at any liquor store. goPuff first launched in Chicago in 2016 and expanded to Evanston in September.

The startup joins a host of other companies that offer alcohol delivery in Chicago, such as Drizly, Postmates, Foxtrot, Saucey, Instacart, Mini Bar and others. goPuff has raised more than $8 million in venture funding.

It's a crowded market, especially against a heavily VC-backed competitor like Postmates. But goPuff has managed to steadily grow, especially in its home city of Philadelphia. goPuff is in nearly 40 markets in total, offering 24/7 delivery in most cities, the company says.
