It's the most wonderful time of the year. And in Chicago, it's a bit more wonderful than anywhere else, at least according to a new report.
Personal finance website WalletHub recently put together a list of the best places for Christmas celebrations, and, to no surprise, Chicago came in at No. 1. Chicago outranked San Francisco, Pittsburgh, New York and Seattle for the top spot.
WalletHub looked at a variety of factors to put together its rankings, including affordability, the number of Christmas events, shopping, churches per capita, and "generosity" metrics like the number of food banks and how many residents are donating to charities online.
But you didn't need some nerdy data scientist to tell you Chicago's a great town to celebrate the holidays. The Christkindlmarket, ZooLights, ice skating in Millennium Park, the Mag Mile Lights Festival, Christmas movies at the Music Box, the list goes on and on.
