The Top Chicago Tech Hires in August

WBEZ

Chicago NPR affiliate WBEZ announced it has hired Barbara Mousigian as its vice president of digital. The hire comes at a time of "significant digital expansion for the station," WBEZ said in a news release, as it plans to significantly expand its staff over the next three years to support investigative journalism and creative programming for the "digital age."

Hireology

Hireology, a Chicago-based hiring and talent management platform, has named Michael Kraut as its vice president of Automotive Partnerships. Kraut was previously the VP of National Sales at Cars.com.

Retale

Retale, a Chicago-based digital grocery coupon company, has hired Efrain Rosario as its chief customer officer. Rosario comes to Retale after previously working as the global marketing director at Coca-Cola.

Livongo

Andy Page, the former President of 23andMe, has joined digital health startup Livongo as president and chief financial officer. Livongo, based in Mountain View, CA, but run by Chicagoan Glen Tullman, offers tools, information and support to help people with diabetes and other conditions live better lives. The startup has raised more than $140 million since 2014.

Outcome Health

Outcome announced that it has hired Nandini Ramani as its first chief engineering officer. Ramani was previously the vice president of engineering at Twitter, and has been named one of the most powerful female engineers in the world. Outcome also announced this month that Madan Nagaldinne, a former Facebook and Amazon executive, has left the role of chief people officer and has taken a position at NY-based real estate tech firm Compass. An Outcome spokesman told us Nagaldinne will still have an advisor role with Outcome.

PreparedHealth

PreparedHealth, a Chicago-based healthtech company that's built a social network for the healthcare industry that connects patients with healthcare providers, announced it has hired Iqbal Brainch as its chief marketing officer. Brainch was previously VP of marketing and product strategy for OptionsCity.

FourKites

Chicago logistics startup FourKites announced that it has hired Sean Fallon as its new president of finance and operations. Fallon previously served as COO of OpinionLab, and was COO and CFO of BigMachines, which sold to Oracle.

Snapsheet

Insurance tech startup Snapsheet announced it has promoted VP of engineering Dan Colomb to CTO. Prior to Snapsheet, Colomb worked as a software architect in HP's Autonomy division, and has also worked at Motorola.

Motorola Solutions

Motorola Solutions announced that it has hired Troy Mattern as its head of cybersecurity for products and services. Mattern was previously vice president of cybersecurity for Zurich Insurance Company. He also worked as the technical director for cyberintelligence for Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute, and served more than 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Truss

Truss, a Chicago-based commercial real estate tech startup, has hired Nicole Weldon as its regional vice president of office brokerage. Prior to joining Truss, Weldon was a commercial real estate advisor at CRESA Global Inc. and a tenant advisor at Bespoke Commercial Real Estate.
